PLANT A ROW FOR THE HUNGRY
Plant A Row for the Hungry (PAR) is a national program that focuses on reducing hunger by encouraging community and individual gardeners to plant an extra row in their gardens. The produce from those extra rows/containers/beds are then donated to local food collection systems (food banks, shelters, families in need). Since 1995, 20 million pounds of fresh produce has been grown, donated and distributed to provide over 80 million meals to hungry families nationally.
Logan’s introduced PAR to Raleigh in 2008 and partners with the Interfaith Food Shuttle and Reach Wounded Veterans (REA) to distribute the donations directly to local families in need. Since 2008, Logan’s has collected over 350,000 pounds of fresh produce. If you want to be a part of the solution SIGN UP BELOW!!
